PRE-CONSTRUCTION

The pre-construction management planning stage involves the definition of the scope of the project, the identification of potential issues, planning and scheduling, cost estimation, and a detailed analysis of the complete needs for the job. DURING CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of Construction Management is to control a project's time, delivery, cost and quality - sometimes referred to as a project management triangle or triple constraints.

POST-CONSTRUCTION

Our Post-Construction Management services are designed to provide the complete scope of services you need to reconcile any construction project.

Post-Construction Management services include all close-out items including as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, and warranties as required. We assist in resolving outstanding contract issues, warranties, and bonds, prepare final close-out reports with recommendations regarding final payment, notice of completion, and file system for retrieval of close-out documentation.

At VLW Group we assist with obtaining occupancy permits, commissioning of new buildings and providing necessary on-site training for the building’s operational systems

VALISTER L.

WILSON

VLW Group was founded by Valister L. Wilson in 2011 following a distinguished career in construction scheduling, project controls, and project management. A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee and a graduate of Auburn University, Wilson holds a Bachelor’s in Building Science. At VLW Group our engagement begins with a consultation and ends with a standing ovation. We value each client and all projects are treated with the utmost professionalism.

An industry leader, in 2017 VLW Group was named Emerging Business of the Year by the DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce. VLW Group has provided Construction Management services for some of the industries most distinguished firms, organizations and projects.

A minority owned and operated Construction Management firm, VLW Group’s experience includes the billion-dollar City of Atlanta Clean Water Capital Improvement Program; $300 million, DeKalb County Snapfinger Wastewater Treatment Facility; and, the small electrical clean room at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

Beyond the corporate world, Wilson actively gives back to his community. In 2010, Wilson founded the Metro Atlanta Youth Football League and the Georgia Future Starts Corporation, which sponsors the annual Future Stars Game (FSG), a Florida v. Georgia middle school all-star football game attracting hundreds of participants for a week-long conditioning and life skills camp culminating with competitive football games.

Wilson has served on the Board of Directors of the Wade Walker Park YMCA and Central DeKalb Youth Football Association. As one of the most highly acclaimed youth football associations, the Central DeKalb Youth Football Association is the 2019 National Youth Football Champions and has developed a long roster of successful college and NFL standouts. .
